Big news—I’m moving! After four and a half amazing years in Montana, where I grew as a photographer, met my husband, and fell in love with so many beautiful stories, we’re packing up and heading east. Winston-Salem, North Carolina, here we come! While Montana will always have a piece of my heart, we’re so excited to plant our own roots in North Carolina, near family, and start connecting with couples and families in this beautiful region.

A few months ago, I met Emily and Michael for their maternity session in the wildflower fields of Missoula. It was one of those evenings that felt almost magical—soft light, genuine laughter, and two soon-to-be parents overflowing with anticipation for the babies they were about to meet. Getting to photograph them again for their newborn session in Alberton, Montana way an absolute joy.

There’s something really special about being completely trusted as a photographer. When a family gives you full creative freedom, from location to wardrobe to how the session unfolds, it creates space to make something truly honest and beautiful. That’s exactly what happened with the Johnson family. Kimberly, Daniel, and their one-and-a-half-year-old son Cohen met me […]

Abby, Jack, and their six-month-old daughter Molly met me on a warm, green summer evening in Missoula, Montana for a family session that was every bit as joyful as it was meaningful. It was a little different from my typical sessions in that we worked thoughtfully around Jack’s wheelchair, but that difference only made the experience richer. The love this family shares is undeniable, and I feel so honored to have captured even a glimpse of it.

I’d photographed Stephanie and Jonathan earlier this spring for their maternity session in Alberton, Montana, and even then, their love for their baby boy was overflowing. That session was full of laughter, big skies, and the hope of what was to come. So getting to return, just a few weeks later, to document them holding Ryder in their arms—it was deeply moving. Quiet joy radiated through every room.

Earlier this spring, I photographed their maternity session here in Missoula, Montana. It was dreamy and warm and full of soft light and excitement. And now, with a new baby in tow and the balsamroot fields in full bloom, it felt like a full-circle moment to be behind the camera once again—only this time, with a brand-new chapter unfolding.

Out in their wide-open field and horse arena, surrounded by sunshine, dirt, horses, dogs, and a whole lot of heart, I had the joy of documenting this cowboy crew doing what they love most: being together, right at home. Corrie and Josh live in Hamilton, Montana, where they run a horse training business and raise […]

The air smelled like spring as I stepped out of the car. I’d never met Emily and Michael before, but they felt familiar. Warm. Easy to be around. Maybe it was because I had photographed Emily’s sister just weeks earlier, or maybe it was the quiet magic of this particular evening, but I could feel right away that this session would be special.

There are some sessions that stay with you long after you pack up your camera—and this maternity session with Shannin and Luke in Missoula, Montana, is definitely one of them. I first met Shannin and Luke several years ago through church and when Shannin reached out to let me know they were expecting their first baby—a little girl—I was beyond excited.
