Sam and Michaela are no strangers in front of my lens. Their warmth, their connection, and the deep love they have for their growing family always makes photographing them feel effortless. And this season—waiting to meet their next baby—felt especially meaningful.

A Soft Evening in Missoula

The sky started out cloudy and still, casting a gentle glow over the field as we wandered. No harsh light, no pressure to perform—just a family enjoying a quiet walk together, soaking up these last moments before their world changes again. Later, the sun made an appearance making for a great finish to the session.

Big brother Ben brought all his energy and sweetness to the session. Watching him laugh, hold hands with his parents, and kiss mama’s belly was a reminder of how much love is already here. He may not fully understand what’s coming next, but you can feel the excitement in every frame.

Murphy, their golden retriever, also made a few perfect cameos. Always close by, always part of the story.
