Welcoming a new baby into the world brings with it a blur of emotions, long nights, quiet moments, and a whole new kind of love. And while many people imagine those classic “newborn photos” happening within the first week or two of life, Tatum’s session with his parents, Stephanie and Jordan, was the perfect reminder that you don’t need to rush the process to capture meaningful, beautiful memories.

There are sessions that stay with you—and then there are families who do. I’ve had the absolute joy of documenting so many milestones for the Flor family over the past couple of years, and welcoming baby Joseph (JoJo) for his newborn session was such a full-circle moment.

This precious little guy was an absolute rockstar for his newborn session! The timing worked out perfectly to where he was a week old when I was back in Massachusetts visiting family and I’m so glad that I was able to squeeze this precious session in before coming back home to Montana.

I’m obsessed with everything about baby Peter’s newborn session at home in Missoula. After photographing the Liddell family back in December, I knew that this session would be one of my favorites, but I did not anticipate falling in love with sweet Peter’s full cheeks and chubby fingers quite as much as I did!
