Welcoming a new member into the family is always a magical experience, and capturing those precious moments is a privilege I never take lightly. I recently had the joy of photographing baby Finnley, just a week old, in his cozy home nestled in the heart of Missoula, Montana.

Finnley’s parents opted for a lifestyle newborn photoshoot, and what better place to capture the love-filled moments than in the comfort of their own home? The warmth and familiarity of their space added an extra layer of intimacy to the session, allowing us to document the genuine connection between Finnley and his parents.

Stepping into Finnley’s nursery felt like entering a serene mountain retreat. His mom hand painted a beautiful mural of a mountain scene on one of the walls. The mural not only added a personal touch to the nursery but also served as a stunning backdrop for some of our photos. I love that Finnley will have these memories of his first bedroom and his mother’s gorgeous design even when he is all grown up!

In a lifestyle newborn session, it’s the little details that make all the difference.
